Robert D. Behn is a lecturer at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, where he is faculty chair of the executive education program "Driving Government Performance: Leadership Strategies that Produce Results." A Thoughtful and Powerful Book About Leading

The CitiStat process may or may not be of interest to many people. What should be of interest to everyone concerned about effective leadership are the effective practices and behaviors Behn offers leaders who are interested in making a measurable difference. I've been working with this idea that the work of leaders is to make a qualitative difference in the lives of people. This book offers a disciplined and thoughtful approach to make that a reality. I give this book to all the leaders I work with.
